Enact amazing lasting change by engaging the power of your unconscious mind & much more... > How to Change your Life!
We all want to think faster, improve memory, understand information better and unleash our brain's full potential, don't we? And all it takes is to exercise our brain. Here's 5 of my favorite things to exercise our brain – and they're all really simple and easy to do:
Keep a journal
Why is this useful? A journal records our thoughts, feelings, observations and reflections about our life and gives us clues and patterns on how our brain works and we can "program" our emotions and actions in better and more useful ways!
"Know thyself. The unexamined life is not worth living" Socrates
Take power naps
Thomas Edison, Leonardo da Vinci and Albert Einstein were all avid power nappers. All we need to do is to take a 10minute break during our least productive time of the day (it's different for everyone and you know when yours is don't you!). This simple act allows our mind to relax, recharge and reenergize. The result? A more productive, effective and efficient brain the rest of the day – and beyond.
"No day is so bad it can't be fixed with a nap." Carrie Snow
Change your self-talk when things don't go according to plan
When things go wrong, many of us utter "why me?", or "this isn't fair", or "how can they do this to me?". This isn't very useful is it? Changing our self-talk will change our perception of the event. Make power statements or ask questions like "how do I resolve this?", or "what's the first thing to do now?" or "I take responsibility". Do this and feel the difference almost immediately.
"Don't ask why, ask instead, why not" John F Kennedy
Learn to juggle
Juggling increases our brain capacity by 3%, according to research. It engages our entire brain, our hands, our eyes, our body, our legs, it makes us breathe more efficiently. All this just means it's a great way to exercise our brain!
"It's kind of fun to do the impossible" Walt Disney
Learn speed reading
"So much to read and so little time" was what we said to ourselves yesterday. Today we say "there's an impossible amount to read, absolutely no time (and energy) to read it all, and way too much to understand – I'm overwhelmed, HELP!". Simple solution? Learn to speed read. Even better solution? Learn to PhotoRead. PhotoReading is a whole brain activity that helps you gather info faster, retain longer, and recall with greater ease.
"Just do it!!" Nike slogan
Have a GREAT month!
